On January 1st, 2013 Lance and I hosted our annual New Year’s Day hike and fishcake and baked bean supper. The weather was great and my friends brought wonderful food to fill out the table. As always, it was a wonderful way to kick off the New Year. Here’s the day in pictures:

Lemon pie for afters. You did good on the meringue Carrie; no weeping or shrinkage!!
Wouldn't be the same without Nancy's delicious brown bread.

Thanks Mike, I was so glad you could make it. Your coleslaw was the best ever – interesting ingredients and tasty dressing. Sadly the photo didn’t live up to the flavour!! Did you have a recipe?
