…..Jiggity Jig∗.
Well the Keji adventure is behind me now. I was sad to leave but Milton is always a nice place to come back to, especially when Lance’s garden is as lush as I found it.
“Why do you need to camp when your own yard is so park -like?” you may well ask. To which I would respond “To get away from all my stuff. To spend a few days where I only have two or three activities to choose from, like hiking or kayaking, instead of the three thousand options I have if I stay at home. I go to clear my head, to hear the coyotes howl at night and the birds perform their dawn chorus. I go to watch kids at play and to smell the smoke of a dozen campfires. I go to challenge myself. But I am always glad to get home to the flora and fauna
and community of Milton. After all, you won’t see anything like the the Milton Days Kid’s Parade at Keji.
