….or Let’s Take a Break from Boats.
Here’s a small selection of birds we have spotted from our backyard since we got back this spring.
A great blue heron is made even more blue by the evening light.
An early tree swallow.
It checked out some apartments in the neighbourhood.
It liked neither penthouse nor ground level so moved along.
Other birds thought it was a fine neighbourhood to bring up their babies.
This immature eagle is quite impressive.
Despite its Muppet-like feet.
Better watch those ducklings, Momma duck, this eagle has come down from its perch.
More likely that she is fishing.
Or taking a rest while she digests. Something has ruffled her feathers.
Perhaps it is this cormorant’s squawking and hollering getting on her nerves.
I believe that the neighbourhood has gone to the birds.
