After the Wedding

or Feast #1

Seems like a thousand years since we we tied the knot on June 22, 2012. I have much catching up to do with the wedding posts! Here is a small gallery of pictures of the celebration after we said our vows at the Dingle. We all convened at the Bicycle Thief on the harbour front in downtown Halifax, a restaurant which describes itself as having North American food with an Italian soul. It was extraordinarily busy which speaks to its quality – the only downside was that it was difficult to converse; I don’t know if the noise levels were due to the loud music or to the ecstasies of the patrons groaning over their delicious suppers. T’was right up there with the Kelligrew’s Soiree without the jowls and cavalances.

There was good drink,

I loved this Australian Shiraz from Dandelion Vineyard. I have not been able to find it in the N.S. liquor stores.

Thanks Jake for ordering a drink to match my dress.

Good food,

Pie

Cake

The town's best burger.

"Who wants chowda?"

good friends,

Penny, (upstaged by Jake's drink) who helped me find my sanity amidst the chaos at work.

Lynn, who helped me find and tap into my creative spirit.

Jim and Nancy who helped me find my singing voice and my inner Buddha.

and good family:

Pete, who helped me find and feed the skipper in me.

Jake...

...and Sarah, who both tolerate my crazy antics and help keep me real...

....and last but not least, Lance. We found each other without even looking.

Yes, it was a great day. It was to be two months before we celebrated with the rest of my family and friends and now I feel like every day is a celebration. Life is surely good.

Lots more to come.
