or How I Practice Wearing a Ring.

As promised in my entry “Christmas surprise”, here is the first of the “left hand – fourth finger” rings in my rotating schedule. These rings cost more in shipping than their purchase price even though they have traveled further than I likely ever will in a life-time. It would actually have been more expensive to get them as prizes in boxes of Cracker Jacks (though the popcorn and peanuts would have been pleasing).

My first thought on seeing this ring on my finger was:

“Ink, stink, puddin’, pink – lassy fingers out” ( a Newfoundland counting out rhyme)

Aaaah, Mom always told me that pink was ‘my colour’. I wore the ring today to the supermarket. It impeded me in getting my hand in and out of my pocket but thus far I haven’t injured anyone. Might be a different story after I wear it to work tomorrow!
