I needed a birthday gift for my Mother. What do you give an octogenarian who just downsized? Some good memories, I hope.

I did a rough sketch with pastels to get a feel for the piece.

And then the watercolour. I was not entirely satisfied but had to stop before I over-worked it.

Here it is framed and ready to hang on Mom’s wall.

The painting is called “I Vow to Pick Them All”. Mom said she liked it. I was relieved.
