What’s New

…..or I’m going to build me a glass house and then go buy a bag of rocks.

But first I have to show you this:

My sister says that a double yolk foretells a pregnancy. Does this mean I’m having twins or quintuplets? Shiver me timbers!! Speaking of “shiver me timbers”, I came across a fellow actually saying those very words the other day. (I asked his permission to take a photo for the blog) And yes, that is a real corn-cob pipe in his mouth.

The glass work is coming along. I call these practice pieces; every time I do a piece I become a little more competent but there is still so much left to learn. I have sketched up a larger piece as my next big challenge. There are three pieces ready to solder and four more waiting to be cut. I’m on a roll. Here are the ones I just finished and the inspiration behind some of them:

I haven’t been so obsessed with anything in a long time. Well, maybe not since last year’s boat building. I will update as I complete pieces.
