To Build a Boat Day….I don’t Know What Day

…or One More Day to Go.

Well, I can retire the respirator and the Rosie’s coveralls. Only a few more minutes of work and she is ready to launch. (or lanch as we pronounced it when I was a kid) It has been a long journey of I don’t know how many days and it is not over yet. I had planned on launching this evening but complications arose with licencing the trailer which require a trip in to the city so I am delayed until next week. I s’pose I could have stuffed her into the back of somebody’s pick-up truck, or taken the licence plate off our utility trailer or even walked her down the road on the Wheeleez but I want to do this right. In the meantime, here’s a little update:

I had initially thought I would paint the hull to hide all my flubs but I just couldn't stand to hide these pretty puzzle joints.

Getting closer.

The name has been chosen but I’m not sure how I will put it on the boat yet. Not even sure I want to at this point. I still have to unpack the oars from the shipping carton and then, well, it’s show time. That’s one Blog I can hardly wait to post!! Tentative launch date is Friday of next week but I don’t know if I can hold out that long. I will keep you posted. In the meantime I need to get the Blue Room back to ship-shape so that Lance can have it back.
